Dr. Courtney Trocinski OTD, OTR/L
Courtney is a doctor of occupational therapy, certified birth doula, and childbirth educator, specializing in women’s pelvic health. She studied psychology at Elon University and then completed her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis.
Courtney founded OWN Your Pelvic Health in 2021 with the belief that care should be holistic, collaborative, and trauma-informed.
OWN was created to intentionally blend the strengths of occupational therapy and physical therapy, informed by Courtney’s experience supporting people through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. She envisioned a space where pelvic health providers work as a team, where clients feel heard and educated, and where care extends beyond the treatment room into daily life, relationships, and long-term wellbeing.
Beyond the clinic walls, Courtney is deeply committed to community outreach, education, and access to care. She is also the founder of The OWN Project, a nonprofit arm of the clinic created to reduce financial barriers to high-quality pelvic floor therapy and doula services, and to expand pelvic health education within the Denver community.
At the heart of Courtney’s work is a commitment to building a collective space where women’s health is prioritized, conversations are normalized, and people feel supported in returning not just to function, but to themselves.
When she’s not geeking out over pelvic health, she loves spending time cooking, baking and being outside with her family. She is always reading the latest research, taking new coursework and prides herself in providing expert, trauma-informed, evidence-based care. While she’s the pelvic health expert, she knows YOU are your own expert, and her approach is collaborative to encourage ownership of your healing process.

I started working with Courtney after giving birth to my second baby. I had been having some prolapse symptoms as well as other pelvic floor challenges (all the way to my feet!). Not only did Courtney thoughtfully and compassionately help decrease my pain, she educated me in more ways than I would have imagined. There's a real benefit to working with an OT who immerses themselves in research, meets clients where they are at, while also being able to navigate multiple issues. Courtney is bright, kind, and one of those once-in-a-lifetime providers who really listened to me and supported me in reconnecting to my body (and my nervous system) after two babies in two years. -M.P.
Courtney was both my pelvic floor therapist during pregnancy and my birth doula. Could not recommend her more! She helped me get rid of SPD pain during pregnancy so I could keep active, and I’m convinced the breathing and other exercises we worked on before labor helped me have a natural birth as smooth as I could have asked for. Plus, she was a great support for me and my husband in the delivery room, serving as a calming presence and letting the midwife and nurse know when things were progressing or helping if we needed anything, whether it was grabbing my snacks or reminding us of different labor positions I could try. If you’re looking for support during any stage of your pregnancy or postpartum journey, don’t hesitate to reach out to Courtney! -T.R.
