Postpartum Pelvic Floor Therapy
It’s never too early or too late to heal.
We commonly treat:
Diastasis recti (ab separation)
Pelvic organ prolapse or heaviness
Urinary urgency, frequency, or leaking
Gas or bowel leakage
Constipation
Pain with sex or pelvic exams
C-section or perineal scar discomfort
Pelvic, hip, or back pain
Difficulties returning to running, lifting, or exercise
If you don’t see your symptom or concern listed above, please fill out an inquiry form, and we’ll get back to you.
Postpartum care doesn’t end at six weeks. Whether you gave birth recently or years ago, pelvic floor therapy can help you reconnect with your core, restore strength, and feel at home in your body.
If you just had a baby, you don’t need to wait six weeks to see us! We will see you as early as you’re able to come in. A six week “clearance” from your provider does not actually mean your body is ready to return to prior activity levels and sexual activity. An evaluation with our pelvic floor therapists & a functional pelvic floor assessment is the best way to set you up for success and prevent future dysfunction.
“I went in for postpartum pelvic floor issues and ended up getting help for not just my pelvic floor but, my running, leg strength, posture, and jaw and shoulder tension. In what could feel like a very vulnerable situation, I never once felt uncomfortable. I’m so thankful I took the time to take care of myself and all that OWN has helped me achieve.”
