Elisha Hanshue (She/Her)
Elisha is a certified full spectrum and community doula from the foothills of Colorado. She has a deep passion for advocacy during key life events, reproductive health and justice, and pain psychology and thinks birth-work is the perfect pairing of all of those things. With a background in healthcare and hospice, she believes everyone deserves to go through pivotal life experiences with dignity and respect. She supports the full spectrum of birth settings from home to cesarean.
She believes all birthing people are worthy of a positive birthing experience, however it unfolds, and accessible doula support. In her role as a doula, she strives to provide gentle guidance to help navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as well as fueling and building the innate intuition we all hold. She encourages this through mindfulnes and embodiment practices.
Elisha is also a postpartum doula. With 15 years of childcare experience, she blends her intuitive and caring support with her focus on nurturing the parent/baby dyad. She has honed her ability to meet parents exactly where they are and provide support throughout the fourth trimester. She is honored to be invited into homes during such a vulnerable time and loves helping families fall into their new norm with a softer landing.
Some of her favorite things are rainy weather, listening to podcasts, photographing all the flowers and plants, grilled cheese sandwiches, seeing live music and comedy, dismantling learned belief systems, and ice cream.
